# DROSS is for those tired of playing by the rules.
For those ready to wear what others might call trash.
Because deep down, you know: trash is just a form that never got a chance.
We aren’t asking you to go eco-friendly.
We aren’t trying to talk you into saving the planet.
We aren’t trying to convince you of anything at all.

We simply make things with character.
We don’t "recycle" in the conventional sense of the word. We reimagine. We take the waste that frustrates environmentalists and urban planners and transform it into something people want to wear, touch, and look at.
We are - DROSS. And we create beauty from what is usually thrown away.

Our Process * * *

@1. Scavenging for scrap
We visit scrapyards, abandoned construction sites, and garages. We hunt for pipe offcuts, rebar, nuts, wire, and old gears.

@2. Hand-selecting
We sort through every piece. We keep only those with character—visible texture, weld marks, or factory stamps. Anything with a history gets used.

@3. Gentle cleaning
We remove dirt and loose rust using sandblasting or a wire brush. No chemicals. We preserve the original color, scuffs, and surface relief.

@4. Hand-assembly
We cut, bend, and weld without CNC machinery. Every joint is made by hand. We don’t hide the weld marks—they are part of the design.

@5. Preserving the texture
We apply a matte wax or varnish to keep the rust from flaking off while ensuring the texture remains visible.

How did it all begin?

# It didn’t start with a polished business idea, but with a simple renovation project.

# The founder of DROSS spent several years working in construction, where he saw mountains of scrap metal every day: pipe offcuts, bent angle iron, rusty rods, and broken fasteners. It was all destined for the landfill. At first, he simply wondered: "Just how much material is going to waste?"

# Then, he took a few scraps home—just to see what he could make of them.

# The first item came about by chance: he bent a piece of old wire, welded a nut onto it, and gave it a good brushing. The result was a keychain. Friends asked him to make one for them, too. Then another. And another.

# That’s when he realized people were interested. Not because it was eco-friendly, but because it looked authentic—raw, rugged, and full of character.
